However, because a natural stone basin typically weighs between 40kg and 90kg (88–200 lbs), clients must ensure the wall is structurally prepared—usually requiring reinforcement with heavy-duty timber studs or solid masonry—to safely support the combined weight of the stone and the steel frame.
