Description

Carved from a single monolithic block of authentic Italian White Carrara marble (Bianco Carrara Gioia / C), this wave-shaped freestanding bathtub embodies timeless Italian masonry and fluid contemporary form. Defined by an organic, undulating rim line, the silhouette dips gracefully through the center before sweeping upward into an ergonomic, contoured backrest engineered for complete full-body immersion. The tub’s smooth exterior showcases Carrara’s iconic geological character—a cool, crystalline off-white ground enriched by soft, feathery smoke-grey veining and subtle linear currents that flow naturally around the stone's carved contours. Hand-finished to a smooth honed touch, this monolithic solid-block bath provides exceptional thermal mass and an enduring architectural presence, serving as an anchor of understated luxury for modern master retreats, penthouse suites, and private spa sanctuaries.

Why Choose a White Carrara Marble Wave Bathtub?

Bianco Carrara is the world’s most celebrated classical marble, renowned for its luminous ground and refined, restrained veining that brings effortless light and balance to interior spaces. Sculpting this noble Italian stone into an asymmetrical wave silhouette softens its monumental physical mass, uniting classic antiquity with clean, organic geometry. Carved directly from a single stone block rather than assembled from thin slabs, it delivers seamless monolithic strength, superior heat retention, and a permanent, grounded presence that synthetic alternatives cannot match. It pairs effortlessly with brushed brass, matte black, polished chrome, fluted light oak millwork, neutral terrazzo, and minimalist microcement walls.

FAQ

How much does a solid marble bathtub weigh?

A solid marble bathtub is a monumental piece, typically weighing between 500kg and 800kg (1,100–1,700 lbs) empty, depending on the design. We recommend a structural engineering consultation to ensure your subfloor is rated for this specific load, especially for upper-level installations.

Is floor reinforcement required for a stone bathtub?

Due to the weight of the stone plus water and an occupant, floor reinforcement is often necessary. We provide detailed weight specifications for every bespoke piece to help your contractor or architect prepare the site safely.

Does a marble bathtub keep water warm longer?

Yes. Natural stone has exceptional thermal mass. Unlike acrylic, which loses heat quickly, a stone bathtub acts as a heat sink, retaining water temperature for extended periods and providing a more energy-efficient, spa-like soak.

Can the plumbing and drainage be customized?

Yes. We specialize in bespoke plumbing integration. Unlike standard mass-produced tubs, we can customize the position, diameter, and depth of the drainage and overflow holes to match your specific project requirements or high-end brassware selection.

How is a solid stone bathtub delivered and installed?

Due to the significant weight, our bathtubs are shipped in reinforced wooden crates. We coordinate with you to ensure safe curbside delivery. Installation requires a heavy-duty floor jack or a professional stone-lifting team. Once positioned, the tub is a freestanding unit that requires no additional structural anchors beyond its own significant gravity.
